U.S. Virgin Islands
St. John
•
St. Thomas
It is the combination of the familiar and the exotic in the U.S. Virgin Islands represents the
"American Paradise". The postcard images you would expect from a tropical paradise are here:
The tranquility of the white sandy beaches of St. John, The European-style villas with
wrought-iron terraces, line narrow streets climbing up from the harbor of St. Thomas.
Part of the lure of the U.S. Virgin Islands are all those things that make it so easy and appealing for
Americans to visit this cluster of islands. The official language is English, the money is the
dollar, and the U.S. Government runs things. There's cable TV, Pizza Hut, and McDonald's.
Many honeymooners combined there honeymoon with a combinations of the "urban" feel of
St. Thomas and the "rural" atmosphere of St. John. You can have the best of both worlds while
honeymooning in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
